The VFG adaptors provide the connection between the cleaning rods and the barrel cleaners or superintensive cleaners. The holder of the adaptor for the felt elements consists of two sections.
The felt element which should remain firmly attached to the cleaning rod in the barrel is screwed on to the sharp wood-screw thread. The felt element which it is intended should fall off on emerging from the muzzle is fitted onto the fine metric thread.
