Model 1771 - A scaled-down, short-action version of the Anschutz 1781
A made-to-scale repeater for predator and light game. The perfect fit for cartridges in .222REM & .223 Rem. This trim rifle is perfectly balanced and feels quite a home when shooting from the prone or standing position, even running shots on moving game, as well as on the bench. It is designed for highly precise shots, a familiar environment to our ANSCHÜTZ target rifles.
Once you shoot one, you will start to understand why the ANSCHÜTZ hunting repeaters are enjoying ever increasing popularity with hunters and shooters all over the world.
FEATURES
Action:
The 1771 features a traditional centerfire bolt layout with utilizing a three-lug bolt directly to the barrel; allowing a quick, short 60° bolt throw. The action is extraordinarily smooth and fast to function. It is equipped with an 0.43" wide, V-block riflescope mounting dovetail rail and a picatinny rail. There are additional drilled and tapped holes provided for scope mounting bases and rings. The one-piece firing pin has a defined end-stop area to prevent damage from dry firing.
Safety:
The cocking mechanism features gas vent holes, which in the event of cartridge failure, directs the gas safely to the side. The right-hand side, sliding safety catch, blocks the trigger sear in the safe position. The ergonomically designed safety catch is easily and silently operated. The bolt can also be opened in the safe position, allowing unloading the firearm with the safety engaged.
Trigger:
Our hunting triggers are hand crafted to the same precision as the match triggers in the ANSCHÜTZ target rifle. The low-weight, hardened and finely polished triggers enable a fast and precise release of the trigger. The target two-stage trigger found in the 1727 has set the standard for quality, reliability, and precision. It is not without reason that ANSCHÜTZ triggers are known as the best in the world. A masterpiece of the German Gunsmiths art.
Barrel:
The barrels are manufactured using the same special process perfected for the ANSCHÜTZ target rifles. The same also applies to the manufacturing process of the chamber. Detail is given to the fitting of the receiver and the counterbore at the muzzle.
Thumbhole Stock:
A symbiosis of style and function
A futuristic design that incorporates the attributes of a classic. Quiet and precise stop. The trigger finger remains strain-free and movable; it doesn’t have to support anything. As for the carefully selected and mature walnut wood: a gentle oil bath gives the stock its matt appearance and protects it from the elements.
